I am a trainee aircraft maintenance engineer, and chipvortex.net exists because of a simple frustration: the explanations I was given as a student rarely matched the clarity that came from actually standing under an aircraft with a panel open. This site is my attempt to write the explanations I wish I’d had — visual, hands-on and free of unnecessary jargon.
Background & experience
My day-to-day work is hands-on aircraft maintenance: inspecting, troubleshooting and servicing real airframes and their systems. That practical experience shapes every article here — when I describe how a hydraulic system or a turbofan works, it is grounded in systems I have physically worked on, cross-checked against manufacturer documentation.
What I write about
Five disciplines, one voice: aviation systems, electronics, workshop tools, consumer gadgets and future technology. The common thread is taking machines that look like magic and showing the understandable engineering inside.
How I work
